Leveraging Our Menstrual Cycles to Turn Obstacles into Opportunities
Hello, everybody, I'm coming to you from Queen phase.
And Queen phase is a very special time when we become aware of things that we might have tolerated during the other three cycles that are, in fact, intolerable. And if we allow them to continue to maintain in our world, they may lead to bigger problems.
Awareness is so important because when we become aware of something, we take it and we put it outside of ourselves. From there, we can actually treat it and use it as a moment to take an obstacle and to make it into an opportunity.
So here's an obstacle that I've been offered:
I had an hour-long conversation with a doctor who works with women to help them holistically heal themselves from a variety of ailments, including menstrual suffering. And she, very kindly, introduced me to another person who is working in our niche.
Here is her introduction: "Christine helps women who are suffering from menstrual-related pain and mood challenges in a holistic manner".
That is not what I do. Here is what I do: I end menstrual suffering, and PMS and shift those who are suffering into easy cycles, holistically.
Do you see the difference in that language?
I love that this happened to me during Queen phase, because I can't put it away. I've tried to shrug it off a few times since seeing it this morning. And I can't, because what she described does not relate to the differences in our approach to our work and the results we get, which we spent an hour discussing, and it's not what I do.
Now, here's the opportunity in the obstacle, I could go to her and say, "this is what you think I do, let me set you straight"--I could do that. Or I could let her have her belief because I am not in the business of changing beliefs. I am in the business of getting as many people as possible, out of suffering and into thriving, because there is no middle road.
And this: "helping women who are suffering from menstrual-related pain and mood challenges in a holistic manner". That's the middle road; that's assuming that the suffering never ends. And then I'm simply pain relief. And that understanding of menstrual suffering, that it's something that can't be eradicated--is exactly why menstrual disorders are getting worse and worse. It is why more and more people are suffering--because they are being treated for pain relief by people who only believe that relief is possible, instead of having someone go to the source, the womb, and nurturing it to balance because the womb is not broken.
It is out of balance. And when we lean into our physiological strengths, we nurture its balance. And what happens, a brilliant side effect, is that we thrive because we compound the joy, we compound the ease.
I always say compound interest of joy, compound interest of ease, compound interest of impact. When you are doing something and you don't have resistance on the action, then you thrive. That's why there is no middle road. And that's why: "helping women who are suffering from menstrual-related pain and mood challenges in a holistic manner" is not what I do.
